I booked and prepaid a Nissan Juke (SUV) with Platinum insurance through DoYouSpain. At the counter in Barcelona Airport, Goldcar pressured me into buying extra insurance I didn’t need — I ended up paying €295!
To make matters worse, they gave me a Hyundai i30 instead of the SUV I booked — a clear downgrade. I filed a complaint (Case Ref. 24700812) and only got an automated reply. It’s been over two weeks and still no proper response.
Goldcar uses high-pressure sales tactics, hides extra fees, and basically ignores customers. Seriously, rent somewhere else.
